Some Things You Might Want to Know

How should I dress?

First and foremost, comfortably -- picnic attire. We'll be outside all day, in warm, pleasant weather. Comfortable, grass-friendly shoes are definitely the way to go (heels = bad idea). Dress as you might, say, for a family reunion: shorts might be too casual, but khakis and a short-sleeve button-down would be just fine. Jeans too. The evenings do cool down, though, so be sure to bring a jacket or sweater as well, just in case.

What's this I hear about no kids?

We thought long and hard about this one, and decided it'd be best to limit things to grown-ups only, yes.

We're flying in from a far-off land. Which airport should we use?

Your best bet is Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG). It's about 30 miles from the Herron farm, and much closer to downtown Cincinnati. Here's a Yahoo! Map showing all three locations, just to give you an idea where things are in relation to one another.

Dayton (DAY) and Columbus (CMH) Airports are other options. They're a little farther away (roughly two hours' drive) but sometimes offer slightly better fares than CVG.

How about lodging?
